well once you get to philly, laguardia or washington/dulles, you should be able to find some flights that go directly to ithaca. Otherwise, check out flights that go to Syracuse or Elmira.

ithaca airport is very small with only 1 security line that takes 5 minutes (VERY different than the 2 hour security lines that im used to at dulles!) and only 1 general lobby with 4 doors that designates "gates". because of this, there are limited flights coming into and out of ithaca. like jrcho88 said, try to get a flight to syracuse and then take a taxi over to cornell.

Most people at Cornell don't fly in or out of Ithaca airport because it is always very expensive since they have limited service. Cornell students book flights from Syracuse, Elmira, Rochester and some even from NYC which makes it very cheap. If you book your flight in or out of syracuse then you can use the limousine service from syracuse to ithaca which cost about $100 roundtrip.

try flying into Syracuse or Binghamton. I'd fly Jet Blue if it were available, less connections, shorter flight time, better amenities, and costs less than most airlines. Best for me since I'll be flying in/out from Austin and Houston during my Cornell career and for the time it takes to fly to and fro comfort is key.

Its often easier/cheaper to fly into NYC and take the shortline to Cornell from JFK. The bus takes 5 hrs, but when you factor in waiting time for a connecting flight to Ithaca or Syracuse, the 5-hr bus doesnt seem so bad. Its much cheaper and more reliable than a second flight. Normally, I wouldnt necessarily automatically resort to this option, but considering how close you are to the flight date, tickets are probably really expensive, and it might make more sense to look into the bus from NYC option.
