Cornell HEOP Class of 2021

Hey guys,
This is for everyone applying to Cornell through the HEOP program. Post your stats, questions, etc about Cornell HEOP.

Good Luck Everyone

Did you recieved the email today ???!

I received an email that just told me to submit FAFSA, CSS, and the two other documents that they required for HEOP admission. Not sure if I’m eligible academically already for Cornell HEOP.
DId you receive an email aswell? Was it pretty much asking u to submit financial docs?

Yes,

I don’t think it meant anything

Did u submit the other two docs that they request you in the email, we have mail them to Cornell

Are you referring to the HEOP questionnaires. If so, I already submitted that in early january. I have heard that if you send ur fin docs earlier you will get a decision earlier? (Not sure if true tho)

No, I mean the forms you have to fill out that was attached to the email sent out on Sunday, and the FAFSA SAR and TAP application that you have to fax to them .

Did u got the interview email yet ???

not yet. I just sent in all the financial docs to the heop office today so I don’t expect one so soon.
How about u?

I just fax them the FAFASA SAR and TAP report, that’s what they required in the email.

Did any of you guys receive this consideration in the email?

Greetings!

In reviewing your application for admission to Cornell University, you have been identified as a student that may be eligible for the New York State Opportunity Programs (EOP/HEOP).

EOP/HEOP are New York State funded programs that facilitate college access for students whose financial and academic environments have not allowed their full potential to come to fruition before college. EOP/HEOP provides students with strong personal initiative and ability for academic success, the support required both financially and academically to achieve their degree. There are many benefits to being an EOP/HEOP student including the participation in the Prefreshman Summer Program, a six week summer experience designed to aid students in the transition from high school to college; one-to-one advising with a member of the Opportunity Programs staff throughout their college career; access to financial support and financial aid guidance during college; and many additional workshops and resources aimed at helping students succeed while at Cornell.

And the email goes on to just tell me what I need to send in. Is this a good sign? I originally ticked the option ‘no’ to be considered for HEOP when applying through the Common App.

I got a similarly HEOP email, because I chose “Yes” on the commonapp

Did they told you to mail or fax them the additional information ??

I sent in my forms I never got an email about an interview or anything like that

@littlebb120 me too,

Did anyone recieve a letter from the Cornell HEOP department??
