not sure about that @superdub, i asked the receptionist who added me to the sessions, after being asked to by the interviewer to, if it was common for the interviewer to sign an applicant up for the tour and info session after the interview and she said no. Not sure if it is uncommon because most applicants already go in the tour and info session before the interview or if it uncommon because my interviewer liked me, wrote me a good report, and thinks i will get in, thus wanting me to know more about the school/program

Are you saying that you interviewed on campus but had never attended the SHA Info Session & Tour? Or, the general campus tour? You probably should have attended the SHA Info & Tour previously. There are two general campus tours: the academic buildings and then a separate freshman experience tour.

i saw another thread and some guy had an on-campus interview and the interviewer gave him a tour, same for my friend. To be honest, I wouldn’t look to into it…if someone came all the way to cornell for an interview, then the interviewer is obviously going to ask if they attended an info session/tour. Why would you have a student leave campus without going on a tour? And yeah, most kids go on tour/info session before interview to prepare. That’s not to say i think your interviewer didn’t like you, but i just dont see the point in over analyzing little things like this, you already applied haha

haha ya, i definitly am the a type, ocd, over analytic type of personality

I am the exact same thing lol

I am a committed athlete to cornell and I am going into the hotel school as well.

were you recruited by one of the coaches? for what sport?

@hotelieatheart Yes and football is my sport

@hotelieatheart pm me if you have any other questions

I think we’re finding out decisions this Monday!!!

what evidence suggests that? @Carrotsticks

i would like to know your evidence as well. it has pretty much been confirmed to come out on the 11th

I applied. Hopefully I get in >.<

Not totally sure - I spoke to a student who works in admissions and said it’s Monday

well its officially on the website now that decision come out 11th, unless for some reason hotel comes out earlier?

Unless something has changed since last year, SHA will issue ED decisions at the same 5pm time via internet log in. They send an email reminder to students in advance.

SHA does issue RD decisions earlier than the other colleges at Cornell, but ED comes out with the rest. Best of luck to all of you.

Who from this forum was accepted?

Any RD applicants?
I am.
Do you know when the result would be announced for SHA? Early March or mid march?
Do a lot of people apply for this major? Based on the 2019 applicants on College Confidential, not many apply for the Hotel school.
Yes, there are many students applying to SHA. Not that active on College Confidential. What’s your background?
Is SHA your first choice?
