Letters of Recs
**I've decided not to follow the style of some other "What are my chances" posters who declare they have "shining and outstanding" letters...

I read one which I liked and think does the job (AP EURO teacher also student council advisor - we're pretty close)
Yale Prof - very encouraging, talks about my potential
Pre-Calc Teacher - I did very well in that class, but it was an honors course, so it doesn't carry as much weight as AP Euro. We became friends, so I think she had nice things to say:)

PLUS my cousin is currently at Cornell's Hotel School, Class of 2007 if that has any sort of bearing.

THANKS guys

I'd say you have a good chance, mate.

haha tore

I think you have nothing to worry about. Your stats are what they need to be for those schools, it just depends on whether they're looking for someone like you. That's not something anyone can predict, all you can do now is wait. I would guess you will get into at least one of those three.

And a hearty good laugh to you, comrade.

Hi! I usually don't respond to these type of questions because Who really knows what your chances are. You may as well flip a coin BUT! my d had similar stats to you and she is now at Cornell and was also accepted to Wm & Mary. My gut feeling is you'll get into at least one of the schools and probably more. But I have funny story about a cheerleader from Metro NY area. Really good solid student-like you and similar SAT scores. She applied to Columbia and no one thought she had a great chance to get in but it wasn't out of reach. Well she did get in and mostly because of her cheerleading background. It seems that most of the applicants to the Ivys are not cheerleaders and all of the schools have sports teams and do have cheerleading squads. Therefore what she thought was just a regular EC activity probably helped her most into getting into Columbia. If you think about it-how many Class Presidents and Editors does one college need? Anyway good luck. And I think you'll have some nice choices in April.

Nothing personal... but it seems like your ec's are quite fickle

thanks for your story! i enjoyed it

anything??????????

Fickle? She's not some stereotypical bookworm. In fact she's a smart cheerleader. That's called being well rounded...

who says fickle?

I say fickle...probably four, five times a day.

At least you'll have a place to stay.

with an outstanding teacher rec and a unique essay, you're in at cornell. but that's just a speculation.

ok gamingurux you really are one of the rudest kids I have ever seen on this website. you go from post to post putting people down. Do me a favor and keep it to yourself because its unneeded and no one needs to hear your opinion that many times.

Amen to that.
