So I'm applying to a bunch, and here they are (in order from most desired to least): Cornell, WashU, Northwestern, UChicago, Tufts, Wesleyan, Brandeis, Vassar, GW, BU, UF, American. I've already gotten into Tulane and FSU, which were my safeties.

Essays: At least CommonApp, I feel I aced it.
Teacher Recs: One potentially amazing, one mediocre to good.
Counselor Rec: Probably anywhere from good to wonderful. I know it recommended the most enthusiastically/rigorously as possible.

What do you think? Also, keep in mind I'll have a really really really sweet rec letter from a Brandeis alumni who's pretty well known and my UChicago interview ended with a "I will do anything I can to get you into this school" comment. lol.

Let me know... I'm freaking out here.

No need to freak out...you will get into most, if not all of the schools on your list.

Yeah you look like a shoe-in for BU, UF and American. You are a very good applicatiant for the others, but I would say that you are going up against many other well-applied applicants, but I wouldn't worry too much (you'll prob get into half, deferred at 1/4 and denied at 1/4, which is REALLY GOOD for those colleges)

yeah, i was thinking the same thing. i just really want to get into one of my top 5, which are all reaches.

anybody else?

fellow creative writer! see the thing is, most of us can't tell you if you'll get into your reaches. but if you asked me to guess which ones you stand a higher chance at i'd say tufts, cornell, washU (in that order).
