I am currently choosing between the two and the major I am wanting to study is mechanical engineering. Cost is not an issue and neither is its size. I am wondering more when it comes to companies coming and recruiting. Which one of the two universities has an advantage when it comes to recruiting and getting internships, co-ops, jobs, etc.? And also when it comes to overall student life, dorms, social life, etc., which advantages does each university have?
That’s a good choice to have!! I don’t think you can go wrong!
I’d say Michigan. The CoE is unbeatable. The campus is in a cool and thriving college town. There is a ton to do. You have nationally ranked FB and BB to experience.
@dylanlrodriguez There is no significant different in academic, recruiting opportunities. your choice should comes down to fit. the strength or the engineering school and specifically mechanical engineering departments are very comparable. Cornell has the ivy league tag but that doesn’t make much difference since Michigan si a school with a great reputation too. Have you visited either? What kind of campus setting do you like?
Visit the campuses and see which one you like more. Compare the cost too. Both are great school. The decision is likely a personal choice or for a financial reason.
