Cornell Summer College RABS

Does anyone know about this program? It is crazy expensive (it's $10,000 for the 6 weeks!), so I'm guessing it's not very good. How many people get scholarships?

Has anyone here been there, and if so, how was it?

Thanks!

anyone?
The 10,000 is like a state flagship in one academic school year. :(

It all depends on who you are. If you are a bio wiz and enjoy lab works you will love it. I am very close to a student who went, totally enjoyed it, and is now a Cornell bio major. One of his rabs friends is the same. However, remember, they are true bio people , and will eventually devote their lives to bio research. So for them, it’s worth it. If you are like them, love working in the labs, you will like it. Their time is more flexible, no exams, you present you work at the end of program to a class ( some bio class, not to you fellow rabs people)

Has anybody here been accepted to this program for 2013?

I was accepted last week and is still debating whether to do it or not. Does anyone know how competitive exactly it is? Does it worth the money?

I didn’t end up applying

I just asked them n they say over 60 applied and 12 were accepted, so I guess it’s also fairly, if not super, competitive.
