Someone chance me pls ?
you can’t chance for Ivies and top schools. most applicants have the stats…it’s more than that. so no one knows …unless you are in admissions
Strong profile. If you had ED, you would be in by now. I think you still have a good chance for RD.

Weather: You can look up historical averages by month. Late November thru April Cornell is worse;the rest of year it’s nice. Certainly less humid than DC in the summer. DC is gorgeous in the Spring though. Ithaca is gorgeous in the Fall. And also all the time, basically.Education: I 'havent attended all three schools, so…
IMO Cornell has a stronger reputation in the sciences than Georgetown has. Georgetown has a particular reputation in international relations. The rest is basically a wash IMO. Of course Cornell offers more fields of study.
We know somebody who was an adjunct Prof. at Georgetown, just taught a course, not a “real” prof. with PhD headed towards tenure. City schools are more likely to have more of these types. Doesnt mean they are bad teachers, or unqualfied for what they are teaching.Thank you for your thoughts. I think Cornell STEM/Engineering may be better but Georgetown and UCLA have great medical schools which means that there could be more LS research opportunities available. Also, Cornell just feels somewhat isolated.
I have the same issue of choosing between UCLA and Cornell. Pretty hard choice because travel plans had to be cancelled. Hopefully soon Cornell will have some live question and answer sessions. I wonder what the chances are that schools will push SIR date further into May/June.
Maybe some of your Qs can be addressed on CC
Does anyone know how many people are offered the transfer option for fall 2021?
I know Cornell decisions will be released March 26th, 7pm CST but did anyone get a notification?
Yes, Cornell sent me an early acceptance email into Engineering on March 13th.
My daughter received a likely or early acceptance email on March 13th from undergraduate admissions. She replied to the email on March 16th and admissions was so nice they wanted her to “feel free to ask any questions.” On March 18th she received an email from Financial Aid and Student employment. She has not received any notifications since then. Best of Luck to everyone!
@waitinginfaith 7 PM EDT, you mean?
I’m not sure because I received a likely letter but I definitely would not consider myself top 5% of applicants.
They have not sent out an email about releasing decisions.
I didn’t receive a likely letter. I applied to the College of Arts & Sciences and I’m an international student. Does that mean I’m out?

No but by definition yours and my chance gets reduced for every likely letter Cornell sends out. Good luck to both of us ?
@scaredandnervous hi, what were your stats? I applied to engineering as well (didnt get a likely though)
Are likely letters for athletes only?
@momver No, regular students can get them also. I’m a regular student, I’m not a committed athlete or D1 anything. I played sports in school but I got it more for academics.
Hey! I was deferred for humanec. Does anyone know about the percent of students that get accepted after deferral? Even better, the stats for humanec?
Good luck everyone! Sending good vibes only :))
Did they really send out likely letters? Damn… I didn’t get one
Does not getting a likely letter mean I’m not getting in?
@waitinginfaith No but it’s in the portal
