Guys! here I am going to tell you all something very weird. College or University which rejects a candidate generally sends a thanking letter or something like " thank you for your application to XYZ University ". I too had got such letters last year when I had applied to Boston and Uchicago. And this year my brother received the same stuff and got rejected later. So anyone who has got something similar to it should not consider it to be a likely letter as I had presumed. It is a very interesting fact that the rejected candidate generally receives those kind of stuffs like attachments, blogs etc. which attract him/her to that particular institution. I would ask you all to keep patience as it may be my experience. Just an experience!!!

336 students from my school applied this year.
last year, 296 applied and 40 were admitted. 23 ultimately attended.

HOLY **** acciocollege, thats crazy! Only 13 applied from my school this year. Usually cornell accepts about 6 to 7, but one year it was only 2 from a pool of 9 :(

In the past 4 years we’ve had 1 Cornell admit. I think we had about 5 kids apply this year.

Tell me about it. My first two years it was 3:45, then last year it 4:00, and this year it is now 4:30. Plus we still start at the same time! It all has to do with budget cuts and teachers being laid off. With more classes in the day, a teacher can teach more groups of overcrowded classes than if we had fewer classes with smaller class sizes. This is one of the pluses to being in AP classes, some of my more unique AP classes like computer science, calc bc, physics, and french have fewer than 20, but my AP English lit class has 45 students in it…

In the past 4 years, I think we’ve had like 2 or 3. I think only 2 applied this year… if not just myself.

Last year, 56 applied and 14 got in…
The year before it was 29 who applied and 12 got in.
Pretty crazy for a relatively small public school!

Dang! I think 3 of us applied and 2 of us have gotten in!

this is a message for BIGGREEN2016: it won’t let me send you any messages anymore and it won’t show me your e-mail address. it *** out most of your messages.
stupid cc
I am going to post this on some of the threads I see you in so maybe you will see it and we can figure this out.

EVERYONE at my school applies to Cornell, 3 have already gotten in … Now we wait …

Is it typical for the orchestra director to email applicants who sent in a music supplement? Or does it mean that he liked my playing. I haven’t been able to find any information on this.

One and half days exactly!!

AMPOBOE send him/her a note and ask them some questions … get a dialogue going …

We had a few emails back and forth. Hopefully it helps.

My school has a graduating class of 1267 this year, and its a top public school in New York City. We are the year with the smallest number of students too, there are more than 1500 freshman for a total student population ~5500. Six years from now we will most likely reach 6000.

Wow, Accio, your graduating class is bigger than my entire school. LOL

Last year we went 0/1
this year i was the only one 1/1 :P

1 day, 1 hour and 5 minutes left!!! Good luck everyone!

holy hell guys

Hello Cornell RD Class of 2016-ers! Just wanted to say good luck and am looking forward to seeing the many acceptances on this forum. I was accepted as an ED for 2015 in the College of Human Ecology last year and I nearly had a heart attack haha. It is such a rush. For you guys, its even better because you get to hear back from many schools and choose. Whereever you end up, I am sure it is meant to be.
However, if you do get into Cornell, COME HERE! It’s awesome, I’m so glad I did ED. My acceptance was a dream come true.
Good luck and may the odds ever be in your favor…nah, I’m kidding. But really, good luck tomorrow!
