Beautiful. Go to State School for a year, save some $$$.
Get a 3.0+, transfer to Biggg Reddd

My D21 applied to CALS RD and received the transfer option. Cornell’s letter had no information about what this actually means. I have heard of “guaranteed transfer” at Cornell, but Cornell’s letter does not say “guaranteed transfer.” It just says “transfer option” and says CALS will send an email with more information.
Update: found the Transfer Option FAQs on CALS website.

rejected

yeah like I can’t get too excited now until I know I can afford it lol

My son was waitlisted. Looks like 2500 waitlist, not very many selected. :frowning:

Cornell is definitely my top choice. I got waitlisted, and if i got accepted off the waitlist, I would definitely go. How do I increase my chances of getting off the waitlist?

UF Honors and NU must have given you a great scholarship. For my teen, UF Honors tuition was half the cost of our state flagship school. NU Honors was generous too.

Congratulations on your acceptances! Shine wherever you go!

those are all great schools!!

sorry you did not get in, but as a CornellnClass of 2023, I can say from 2 years of living on campus, Ithaca is NOT “bummy”. Actually one of the most beautiful college campuses in the US. While Ithaca is not a large city, it is a charming small town. I am loving my experience at Cornell, have made great friends from all over the world and thankful for being a part of the Cornell family.

I got in! However, I did not receive any information regarding financial aid. Should I send them an email? My CSS Profile says that my “Citizenship Affidavit” is “initiated” and I don’t know what that means. I sent it a few weeks ago too… I’m starting to worry.

I also had to submit the citizenship affidavit, and I called the financial aid office to check if they received my envelope! They were able to check and let me know, and now I’m just waiting for them to process it.
