cornell recruited athletes 2016/likely letters

So this past June I verbally committed to play field hockey for Cornell, had my academic information pre-read by admissions staff (who said my information was great), and am now waiting for a likely letter. I talked to my future coach and she said I should be getting it and that she wasn't worried...however it has yet to come in the mail. Has any other recruited athlete not received theirs yet? And if you have, when? I'm just trying to figure out if I need to start panicking or not...haha.

Did you actually, formally, apply? My son’s likely letter came less than 4 weeks after his formal application was submitted.

yeah  what sport will your son be playing?

also was his likely letter sent via email or usps?

Hi eas026, I am a recruited athlete as well, and I have applied ED to Cornell CAS on 31 October( formally turn in my application one day before the deadline). I have not received any likely letter and this is making me very worried too. As I am an international student, I was thinking the letter would take a few days to arrive but it has been a month and I have not gotten mine  Also, when did you formally turn in your application?

i turned mine in on september 27th…i feel like we just won’t end up getting one anyways because decisions come out in a week  what sport will you be playing?

Oh, Macaroons, mine just came in the mail today!! best of luck with yours!

eas – Congratulations!!

I’m a recruited athlete and I submitted my ED application to CALS on October 19 and my likely letter that I received was dated October 31.

Congrats to you too!!
