<p>There are no “requirements”. You can get rejected even with a 40+ score (I got deferred with a 41 and another friend with a 41 got rejected) or accepted with a 37.</p>
<p>But yes, anything above a 38/42 or 40/45 would be a competitive score. Anything above ~1450/1600 (Cornell doesn’t consider the writing part of the SAT) would be competitive as well. But this depends on the college in Cornell that you’re applying to. Typically the engineering school has a higher average SAT score (~1500) than ILR or CAS.</p>
