Ya I figured that the view of all the hills would look absolutely amazing when the leaves were all different colors. I'll make sure to whip out the camera lol

I'm still in the process of obtaining finances, but I plan to take hundreds of summer/fall/winter pictures of the Cornell campus - I just have to get a nice camera first. I'll probably put them on webshots for people to view.

Great Idea!
Cornell is just so beautiful in all the seasons.

Come winter, it isn't so nice in any of the NE places.

All of Ithaca's seasons are great except for what I call "Springter," which lasts approximately from early March to mid-/late April and is the period when Winter slowly and painfully morphs into spring.

"Come winter, it isn't so nice in any of the NE places."

Inland areas of the NE are freezing, cloudy, snowy and miserable. The section of the NE along the coast, from coastal NJ up to about Cape Cod, is generally pretty sunny and stays above freezing, even in the middle of winter. Water = milder climate. Even being a mile from the coast versus 5 miles inland makes a huge difference.

I didn't find winters to be too terrible there, really.

People made the most of it, went traying on Libe slope, skiing at Greek Peak, etc.
(Time permitting, of course...)

When I lived in the midwest the winters were many times worse than anything I experienced in Ithaca.

Depends what part of the midwest you are in.

take Chicago - where I lived for 4 years right after Ithaca - I thought I knew winter from Ithaca but I was an amateur!

I agree. I've lived in Cincy and Chicago and the winters were much worse in those cities than in Ithaca.

Cornell is definitely awesome...but wait till the prelim time comes!
So my advice to new freshmen and transfer...enjoy your beginning days at Cornell but make sure you also keep up with your school work!

This is sage advice.

To fall behind is to die a thousand deaths.

Better to invest some late-nighters, etc. right along, to keep from falling behind in the first place, rather than using them to try to catch up at the end, only to find that you are too late.

Time management skills will closely correate with success in this league.

dartmouth food cant compare to cornell lol
why? I chose cornell over dartmouth after eating there.

What are prelims at Cornell??

Prelim is another name for midterm, and midterm is another name for test. lol I asked the same thing before I got to Cornell.
