is there any one trying to take a transfer to Cornell, for spring '07

Well, maybe I am after all. I applied for fall 2006 transfer a month ago. The Cornell website had extended the deadline. When I called two weeks ago to check on my app., they said it was missing. I got my copies together to send to them again. I called to let them know. They said they had sent my app. back because the deadline was March 15. Nothing has been in the mail from Cornell. I called again. This time they are saying that they extended the deadline to April 15. The June 1 extension was on their site in two separate locations. There was no mistake. I know someone else who saw the June 1 extension as well. How can the admissions office not know that the website was changed? Someone had to alter it-twice! Shouldn't Cornell honor all the applications sent between April 15 and June 1. I worked really hard on my Cornell app. while I was taking finals and with term papers due at the same time. They said that they got too many apps. in April because of the extension. Someone else must have applied in May. It's not fair to the applicants. They don't get how stressful this process is on us already. Changing the deadlines back arbitrarily is a serious injustice. Maybe they wanted the tranfer applicatiion numbers to be higher? Any ideas what is going on at Cornell? SOS! Guess I am forced to try for spring '07..........

I have no clue about all this..but .. what school ae you applying to ?

would anyone know about a general trend in external transfers(excluding GTs)..
like how many students get in to AEM.. in the spring..
the CALS website says , they take in 50 people every spring. would anyone have a clue .. as to how many of those are GTs..

can freshmen transfer into cornell in spring 07? and are Guaranteed Transfers also apply for transfer into another Cornell college?

i dont know ..if that happens .. becuase usually schools have a minimum amount of credits required for transfer admissions. you might wanna check out their website..i am sure they have it there

If you applied RD or ED for the Class of '10 this year and were rejected, you cannot apply for the spring transfer (called and asked)

so is there any 1 who applied for spring admission(not GTs), i feel i am the only one!!!!! good then i stand a chance :D
lol.. seriously, is there any one who's applying for spring ?

Is this the same thing as a preferred transfer? I'm doing that.

i guess so... did u apply earlier, but deferred ure admission to go to another school to save up ??

no i applied for regular admission, and they said, come in the spring. I dont really know why I didnt just get a garunteed transfer. But i talked to the lady and she said it was so i could be a Freshman at Cornell...go figure

but basically you're guaranteed a spot this spring.. right??

can those who were waitlisted and GT'd apply spring? with the already rejected, I can understand but what about the WL's?

I dunno, but there is a very limited amount of FA for spring transfers.

i dont really care about Fin. Aid, I am more concened with getting in.. do u think less number of ppl apply beccause of the fin. aid factor..???
