No, I was not able to reset my pin. Oh, that’s fine. Is there any past threads about the correlation of admission and housing portal? By the way, do I need to apply housing now? Or should I wait for admission decision?
@mrsblaileen Where did you find out that people were able to log in even though they were denied? Also, does anyone happen to know how long they will be sending out decision notifications? I’ve read some threads where people were admitted as late as December, but I wanted to see if anyone here knows first.
It’s been said in like every past transfer thread shrug
Also I don’t know how long they send out decisions.
Next Tuesday can’t come soon enough
@mrsblaileen No, I was not able to reset my pin. By the way, if I can login to my housing portal, do I need to apply housing now? Or should I wait for the admission decision?
How does everyone’s to-do list look? Is it just the “CSS PROFILE” and “Transfer Transcript”?
when you say “to-do list” are you referring to the financial aid checklist? @heyguysimhai
Mine just says transfer transcript.
Please put your stats to whoever got in!
Can someone tell me how this housing thing works, it’s some way to look at the decisions early I presume? Are there other ways of finding out what our odds are?
Sorry for the delay, here are my stats:
Major/School: Food Science/CALS
HS GPA: 4.00
GPA: 3.75 SUNY CC, Phi Theta Kappa (transfer articulation with CALS) I actually received a B- in Gen Chem I, but was told by admissions that since I received an A in Gen Chem II, I would be fine! I also hold an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts since I went to culinary school straight out of high school.
I stated in my application that I was willing to transfer to sophomore year (although I have over 60 transferable credits)
Did not submit ACT/SAT scores
Current job: Part- time at Statler Hotel
Experience: summer internship with The Food & Brand Lab in Cornell AEM, chef/sommelier training for 5 months in Hong Kong during culinary school
EC: Student Gov, multiple clubs at school, volunteer work
Midterm report: All As with good comments
Rec letters from two of my CC professors, and my essays were fairly strong. I wrote about topics that I’m genuinely interested in, which are cooking and environmental studies. I did a lot of research on the CALS website such as finding the learning objectives of my program of interest. I also attended a CALS info session (really recommend!), and they made a point that they want to see through your essay whether or not you are a good fit with the college you’re applying to!
Again, best of luck to those who applied, I hope you guys will be able to hear back soon!
Has this happened to anyone else and does it indicate anything? I got an email from financial aid about 2 missing documents. I replied to resolve it and then the two documents were removed from the to do list. The email was not a robo email, it was from a person. Does it mean anything? Do they do fin aid working on everyone or just the ones admissions tells them to do?
@vikki Happened to me too. Still haven’t heard back about an admissions decision.
@Ram30823 @Linglinglll I am SHA also haven’t heard anything. Not too many people on here seem to be. Last years threads SHA was pretty late.(ignore the older brothers username lol)
@vikki and @throwaway2101 what college did you apply to? Also what day is supposed to be your decision day?
@1MagicalNight_1 CHE and rolling
@Ram30823 @Linglinglll @throwaway2101 I’m a SHA applicant as well! Can you guys log on to housing and reset the pin?
@derrickgeng No I would try again on Monday. Normally it’s updated on Monday
For the Financial Aid To-Do List, does anyone get redirected to the Oracle Page?
For me it says Oracle peoplesoft enterprise. It also says my username and/or password are invalid. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know what this could mean?
I don’t think being redirected there has any significant meaning. Try again later and you should be able to see the regular page.
Does anyone hear from ILR???
