Hey everyone,

Last year I applied to Dartmouth Early Decision and was deferred and ultimately rejected. I fell in love with Dartmouth when I visited and I had my heart set to head to Hanover. After my rejection, I turned down Penn to go to Cornell, thinking I would prefer the rural environment over the urban life of Philadelphia. Now I have been at Cornell for almost a full semester and it has become clear to me that Cornell is not the school for me. I was wondering if any of you knew how difficult it would be to transfer into Dartmouth.

I am slated to receive a 3.5-3.6 GPA for the first semester.
My highschool stats are as follows:
GPA: 3.98/4.0
SAT 1: N/A
ACT: 35 Composite
SAT 2's: 710 World History, 720 Math 1
I was the president of the Investment Club at my high school and I spent 100+ hours my senior year working with a charity
I have volunteered to teach disabled children how to ski for 3 years
I was on Varsity Cross Country my Junior and Senior year along with lacrosse from freshman year through senior year and jv football freshman and sophomore years

I am currently on the ski club at Cornell

I worry that choosing Cornell over Penn has lessened my chances of transferring as Penn is perceived as the better of the two universities.
