Oh thx for the info!

I am. I filled out my FAFSA and CSS and submitted my parent’s 1040 info and still nothing. It’s pretty alarming but I’m sure it will get figured out eventually

Also, on the college report my school filled out for me, the dean himself filled it out for me and put in the recommendation part “Fairly Strongly”.

Does anyone think this is a plus to my application? Or is it just something that they’ll overlook?

It cant hurt but i doubt it carries any significant weight

Remember FA and admissions work separately. Your admit decision doesn’t hinge on your FA decision or vice versa.

Apparently there was spot where the signature was missing on the tax paper or something so I resent a signed one so hopefully it works out

The college report had nothing to do with the financial aid side of things. I was just wondering if other’s had someone “recommend” them on theirs too

Edit: I messed up and thought this was in reply to my college report comment, my bad

Thank you. I am so confused. My financial aid shows that that there are three items in the checklist: fafsa, w2 and Transfer transcript. They show up in my to do list but they say initiated. Ehat does that mean?

According to the financial aid. FAQ:

If there are any new or outstanding items on your To-Do List listed with the status of “initiated,” you will need to take action to complete the item(s). As requirements are submitted and processed, the items will disappear from your To-Do list.

Did you complete/submit the items listed? If yes, then I’d definitely check in with financial aid regarding the status of your documents. If not, then you need to submit them ASAP.

I think they’re dealing with a lot of submitted documents and they didn’t start processing them in earnest until after the freshman admissions cycle which ended April 6.

However, they are working remotely which may also be slowing down the process too. I’d keep checking in maybe once a week and hopefully they’ll respond or the documents will get checked in. You could also try calling. You might get lucky and snag a live person.

Thank you so much. I submitted all of my material since a long time. I am surprised how they still haven’t received my stuff

And its surprising how cornell hasn’t responded to even one of my emails. Some are even two months old.

That’s really obnoxious of them IMO. Especially because they’re very upfront about the fact that they’re working remotely and email and phone is pretty much the only way to contact them. But they did have an obscene numbers of freshman applicants so they’re just coming up for air from that fiasco lol.

But they do have a lot of FA applications to go thru so hang in there! Your docs are there, they just need to logged in.

Thank you. Also one more thing, we only need to submit things on IDOC once, right. Is it ok if i submitted my stuff before I put cornell onto the IDOc list?

Sorry I’m not as familiar with IDOC but it would make sense that you’d upload your documents and then they’d be available to whichever school needs them.

So I asked Cornell what initiated meant they said that it was either incomplete incorrect or not processed which is so vague and then I asked them for update weeks ago and they still haven’t got back to me:/

Thats weird that they are unresponsive for you guys because last week i emailed the FA office twice and got the reply within a day or two
