You have a very strong application. However, getting into CAS as a transfer is highly dependent on available space for the major you are applying to.

@Sam577 Applying for Econ major. Really want to go to Cornell (unless I get in Columbia lol) I’m worried if my credits are too low for the standards and no SAT scores available.

Hello friends,
I applied to CAS for history and my application is completely finished. If anyone needs any help with how to properly fill out documents, I may be able to offer some assistance.

In case you guys were wondering, here are my stats or whatever.

community college student in second semester
4.0 GPA
student gov treasurer
campus newspaper sports editor
honors program student
US military vet

My professional letter of rec is actually pretty sweet as one of my old military bosses who now works in the pentagon as a speechwriter wrote it for me. As for my academic rec, it was one of my cc English teachers so not sure how strong it is.

the application was preeeeeetty confusing and took me forever, but it says I have everything turned in.

Super excited but doing everything in my power to not get my hopes up and am 100% preparing for another semester at community. We’ll see.

Good luck to everyone and keep us posted on your status! If you have questions or just want to talk, hit me on here as I have way too much time on my hands.

Are there any ILR transfers who can give me any tips?

Apply to college of engineering, any advice on what my gpa should be?

Damn, I really thought decisions were coming out mid-November because that is what their application status page says. I applied to the College of Arts and Science for Government. I currently have a 3.9 GPA and want to transfer as a junior. My stats and extracurriculars are not that impressive, so I tried to make up for that by writing my essay about how living and studying in 6 countries helped me choose Government as my major. Not sure that that will help me stand out too much though. If anyone has any opinions on how this might be perceived, please feel free to let me know. Lastly, I wish everyone on here the best!

Hey, I recently was rejected from SHA but am already thinking of applying for transfer next year. I know things can change, but if anyone has any tips on what I should do to help my extracurriculars or anything please let me know
