Cornell Transfer Fall 2021

Oh okay and why is there a chance that he is going to retake a class

It has to do with credit hours assigned to each class. Iā€™m hoping he understands that plus financial aid offerings before we have to accept

Congrats! Can I ask what your major is? Also waiting to hear from CALS non TO

Anyone who applied to Dyson non-TO hear back yet?

Nothing here, checklist is still up.

Seems like Dyson will hear the end of May. There was one person here who applied to Dyson and his checklist disappeared today. Any updates?

Also, last week there was 34 of us waiting. Like this comment if you are still waiting so we can see how many of us left.

I just read in the CAS portal on transferring that you have to accept and put down a deposit before you get the transfer credit eval. You are lucky yours came regardless.

Is there an accepted group chat anywhere?

I know there is a discord but I donā€™t have details and also FB

Yeah I applied the 15th like that. I applied as entomology major, and Iā€™m hoping I can double major there with nutrition. I will be a sophomore and class of 2024!

Rejected:( CAS Non-to

CAS Non-To and still waiting to hear back. Does anyone if we can change our majors (after getting in) as a sophomore transfer?

My letter just says I got into CAS so Iā€™m not sure they admit you to a major

Yesterday I emailed finaid to get an eta on award details. Apparently transfer students learn of their awards/fin aid details on Wednesday afternoons, so they thought it would be this pm or in a week. I didnā€™t know that, thought Iā€™d share.

I donā€™t know if itā€™s response bias or something, but I think a lot of people are getting accepted by Cornell this year! This is really incredible, and it means that Iā€™m gonna meet a lot more fellow transfers this fall!

And for those who are rejected/waitlisted, this says nothing about your ability to succeed in college. If anything else, I think Cornell is intentionally waitlisting and delaying decisions to applicants who are overqualified. Cornell clearly doesnā€™t want to accept someone who doesnā€™t plan to matriculate.

Keep the faith wonderful people
