Cornell Transfer Help!!!

<p>Hey guys
Im an international student at the University of Minnesota majoring in mechanical engineering. I will be applying for a transfer to cornell for the fall 2011 term. Can ya'll help me out here?
what can i do to strenghten my application?
as of now, im in my first sem, with 19 credits,
phys 1
calc 1
writing
landscape arch
microeconomics
I think i will manage a GPA of 3.9+ , (4.0 so far)
I plan on taking atleast 19 if not more credits the second sem.
My sat was 2070- math 760 cr 620
sat II math2, phys=790 chem=750
Toefl 111/120
high school gpa was 3.833
class rank: top 10pc, school does not rank (this is for high school)
Im a member of the SOLAR VEHICLE TEAM as of now , and am also helping a grad student in his research by programming in UNIX.</p>

<p>Heres the killer- i need fin aid. yes, im an international transfer student who needs fin aid.
I love physics and am ready to change my major to physics ( thus applying to college of arts and sciences, is it easier to get in?) if need be.
Please guys, help me out.</p>

<p>cornell’s engineering transfer accepance rate is something like 6%. i would apply to other places too if you really want to get out. also, getting financial aid as an international is going to be difficult</p>
