Cornell Transfer, Is It Difficult?

Hey everyone,

so I’m currently a college freshman and I really hope to transfer to Cornell after my sophomore year and obtaining my associates degree in Political Science and eventually hope and seek to attend their Law School after undergrad. My question was, how difficult is it to transfer into Cornell A&S school? What should I do to be a competitive candiate? I have emailed Cornell representatives to see what they had to say, but does anyone have any advice for the transfer into Cornell/what I should focus on? Thanks!

Try posting on the Cornell forum. You may get more help there.

I agree wtih biprof in terms of getting more replies if the thread is moved. As I’ve said in the past, I know a slew of Binghamton students who’d give a lot to be able to transfer to Cornell. Chances depend on a combination of your achievement level at your current school and past work. Also, how comparable the school you are at is to Cornell. As many students have found out, that can be a problem. It is obviously easier to transfer from a place like Columbia then from a SUNY-everything else being equal.
