Cornell Transfer Students Fall 2014

Hi Guys I just wanted to see if you guys think I might have a chance to be accepted as a transfer student for the Fall.

High School GPA: 2.2
College GPA (KEAN UNIVERSITY one semester): 4.0
College GPA (ROWAN UNIVERSITY one year): 4.0
SAT: 1960 (retaking in january probably 2150 based on practice tests)
SAT subject: Math 2 - 800 Physics 680(I failed physics in high school but took the exam)

Extracurriculars: Volunteering, Chess Club, Model UN, piano, and tutoring

I had a lot of problems in high school but based on my current grades and extracurriculars do you guys think I might have a chance.

You obviously have strong math ability. The erratic nature of your HS gpa and one year each at lower tier schools is worrisome. If you were focused on a specific major (engineering, or better yet agriculture, and if you are from NY state) you may have a shot.

Yeah that’s what I was worried about. I’m double majoring in applied mathematics and chemistry with a minor in economics. So those are very math heavy subjects. So how do you suggest I improve my chances.
