Cornell Transfer

I'm in a bit of an unusual situation...
Out of HS, I was accepted to most of my top choices (Duke, Chicago, Hopkins, Cornell and others), but chose my state flagship (UF) thinking it would be a better fit. Unfortunately, I've discovered that this is very much not the case, and I'm hoping at least one of my prior choices will make the same mistake twice and let me back in as a junior. In HS I had a 2290 SAT, ~4.9 weighted GPA (I don't remember to be honest, mostly As), 5s in around 10 APs (a 4 in music theory) a fair number of EC's, good essays and great recs.
Since I came to college, however, my GPA has slipped. I'm a physics major and made the arrogant mistake of taking junior/senior level coursework in my first two years, leaving me with ~3.6 GPA. I've been doing research non-stop (aiming for grad schools, which I'm told don't care about non-research ECs in the slightest) but have no ECs otherwise (resume is pretty much just research projects). Would I have a chance transferring to Cornell CAS?

You may have a chance if you really emphasize all the research that you’ve been doing. it looks good. You might be given pity by the admissions committee because you were already accepted and you have great high school stats.

My thread (chance pls.): http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1610985-chances-for-vanderbilt-unc-nyu-uf-and-duke.html#latest

hey! i’m actually on the same boat here at UF too!!! the process is harrowing as ever! have you started already?
