Cornell, UMich... Do I stand a chance?

I go to a decent public college (tier 2).

College GPA: 4.0 with 20 credits. After this semester, expecting a 4.0 with 36 credits.

College courseload: In honors program. Most of my classes are and were 3000-level. Three of my 36 credits are satisfactory/unsatisfactory rather than graded.

HS GPA: barely in the top third of class

SAT: 1310. Should I retake? Should I take ACT? Should I take SAT IIs?

APs: Of the ten I took in high school, I took eight exams and passed four with 4, 4, 3, 3.

ECs, awards: decent

Recs: will be really good

I plan to apply for transfer with 45 credits.

Do I stand a chance at schools like Cornell and UMich? What other schools do you recommend?

I don't know much about UMich, but for Cornell it depends on the school you are applying to, with A&S (Arts and Sciences) being the most difficult to transfer into.

How come no one responds to my threads?

yes...............................

1310 / 2400? 1310 / 1600?

What was your high school GPA?

I think you have a pretty good chance at University of Michigan

I can't say the same for Cornell just by going off of "decent" for recs and awards.

I had a friend who got rejected to Cornell as a freshmen, with a 4.0 in high school, 36 ACT, amazing recs (hospital work, volunteering, state celloist, state runner, and wrote for the newspaper)

It all depends on the school you're applying at Cornell.
