Hi guys I was just wondering if anyone knew how the acceptance rate for women into cornell engineering was compared to the acceptance rate for men.
Maybe repost here?
The female admit rate is more that double the male admit rate but the difference has narrowed rapidly these past couple of years.
You can find the info here:
Cornell also has a ‘Women In Engineering’ program each Fall and Spring for rising HS Seniors. If invited, prospective students spend a weekend on campus with other female engineering students, attend classes, join other campus activities, and get a few tips on the application process from admissions reps in terms of what the college is looking for in candidates. It’s a pretty competitive program but if you get accepted into WIE, the school clearly feels good about your candidacy early on and “wants” you to apply.
thanks so much for your help!!
