Hello,

I recently submitted my application to Cornell University, but I am nervous about my standings and chances. I feel that my essays were good, my extracurriculars are good, but my grades are not phenomenal (51/174 ranking), and my SAT's are average.
These are the key facts and points that should stand out on my application:

asian :c no scholarships...

my interests: environmental sciences (applying for SNES at the CALS)

SAT: math- 740, reading- 720, writing- 650 (yikes) total- 2110
SAT II: biology- 740, math level 1- 660 (yikes)

I attend an accelerated school (magnet public school)based on a 5.0 scale (although the highest possible GPA is 4.8)

my current gpa is 4.12
submitted on app gpa is 4.08 (Calculus BC killed me my junior year with C's, but this year I am back on top with all A's... so far)

APS: environ. science, biology, government, physics b, calculus AB (dropped BC after a semester), economics, statistics, english 3, english 4

extra curric:
lacrosse team 4 yrs(captain 11-12 and undefeated champs last year)

band (marching and concert) 4 yrs (pit captain 12, percussion champs, band went to state 12th grade)

co-founder/ co-president of a national video conference event-12

NHS and multiple other clubs. those are the big ones.

I was selected as 1 of 4 students to represent my school at the keystone national youth summit on greenhouse gasses over this past summer and researched, spent a week creating public policies, and coauthored a 40 policy paper.

selected to be part of an elite lacrosse team and traveled to tournaments with them

awarded as a state lacrosse all-star (texas) 11 and probably 12

volunteer frequently for environmental and community events

those are the biggest points that should stand out on my application... but i'm afraid that my extra curriculars won't cover my mediocre scores and gpa/ rank. my essays should be pretty good though. i am just wondering, in your opinion would i be a strong candidate or just scrape by? or just not be considered at all?

THANK YOU SO MUCH! sorry about the length...
