****Cornell University Class of 2021 Regular Decision Thread****

How does Cornell get around the Ivy notification date of March 30, by sending letters to some SHA and ILR applicants? (Not that I’m complaining.) And snail mail - really?!

If an applicant applied to ILR ED and got deferred, would that applicant likely find out in the early wave or on March 30?

@Alllcolqs768 @brooklynilene I was deferred at SHA regular decision, and hope that the March 1st rumor is true. I am curious as to why they would mail it but not also put it on the portal??

got an email from the orchestra director today requesting my CAID (common app id) so that he can make sure my recommendations go through… good sign?

@julia1999, great sign!

@julia1999, what school at Cornell?

@elise303 Arts and Sciences

How competitive is the acceptance rate for the ILR School?

Does getting followed by ILR on instagram signify anything?

Did they follow you first? @Sgtpepper13 just curious haha

@crowningflowers I followed them when I I started applying back in December

Welp I just got accepted into ilr so I guess it meant something lol

WOW CONGRATS @Sgtpepper13 did you receive a likely letter?

OMG CONGRATS! @Sgtpepper13 Was it through snail mail? When was it dated

@sgtpepper13 Amazing!!! What state do you live in?

Thanks everyone. It was through snail mail and dated March 1st. I live in upstate NY only a couple of hours from Cornell. I figure mine might be a little earlier than everyone’s because I’m so close. It was a full acceptance letter. Ilr sends put some early

Congrats! Did it come through US mail, ups, or fedex?

Does CAS send likely letters?

Congrats @Sgtpepper13 ! I’m assuming you’re not a urm. Also, did they include financial aid info.
In any case, best wishes to your parents ! You’re in ! That’s all that counts now !

Does anyone know how to check if mid-year grades have been received? My school sends them through snail mail. I don’t see a specific spot on the portal?

Just send an email to confirm.
