Ah ok. Looking at Cornell as a reach ( see my chance me thread ) so definitely not someone who “Cornell wants the most”. Looks like I’ll be waiting until March 30th!
does anyone know about decisions for human ecology?
Do we know March 30th is the date?
@OnEdge2021 yes
Anybody know what time the 30th? As in, can we access the portal decisions at 12:01?
@realperson2990 Pretty sure it’s 5 PM ET
-The vast majority of regular decision results will be in the portal, at 5pm, on the 30th of March.
Also if this year is like the past:
-The School of Hotel Administration (SHA) & School of Industrial and Labor Relations (ILR) release many but not all decisions earlier in Mid-March.
- Also likely letters start to come in waves from now until mid-March for some students who bring some type of diversity to campus like 1st generation or underrepresented groups. They can go to those who applied to any of the colleges on campus. The letters pretty clearly state you are admitted and invite you to come to various events. If you are in a diversity group and do not get a likely letter it does not mean you are out of luck just that you will have to wait until 3/30.
-Last are likely letters for women in engineering- some but certain not all women who applied to engineering and are admitted get them. They also clearly state you are admitted.
has anyone gotten likely letters yet?
@allima No. Because I’m not going to get in.
@Nimisha99 lol same
stay positive guys! and if it doesn’t work out i’m sure there will be other equally great options
@NCMOM24 im a first generation, but my app is prob not the top of cornells pool… i fall basically in the middle. Do you know if likely letters are for top applicants with unique quirks? I was always under the impression likely letters were only for athletes
@hamsamcam17 They are usually athletes, top of the applicant pool, diversity of many types- 1st generation also, or pretty much anyone they want to signal that they are top desired candidates. That said, do not worry about getting one or not. Very very few students get them. It is not a bad sign. Hang in there!
Man, I sure can’t wait for March 30th to roll around. The waiting is killing me.
if anyone has received a likely letter post here!!!
some acceptance letters for SHA and ILR will be mailed on March 1st, if anyone receives an acceptance letter in the mail in these coming days post here!
@crowningflowers are you sure they send them march 1st?
yes. All previous years some SHA and ILR applicants have received mail on March 4th or 5th, and all state that the letter was dated March 1st. Unless they decide to do things differently this year, but I think they’ll still send them out March 1st. @Alllcolqs768
Is it true that for most applicants who were deferred ED to SHA, those are the ones who mostly recieve letters? @crowingflowers
