****Cornell University Class of 2021 Regular Decision Thread****

Are you referring to the Diversity “likley emails”? Based on previous threads, most recieved their emails about 5 p.m EST

@Jenn1976 are you sure!!! What day did these people ‘on previous threads’ receive their mails?

@niclyd95 @colleges321 Im a deferred international student for AAP (Nigerian) and didnt have to submit IDOC to Cornell (Other colleges…yes!)…submitted only CSS

@DavidOE last year in 2016, likely letters for URMS were released on Monday, March 14 and in 2015 they were sent out on Sunday, March 15 around 5 p.m., so the assumption is that hopefully today they will be sent out around the same time

Would an Indian female living currently in the U.S come under diversity factor? I don’t think I would get a likely letter but would like to hope

So did any URM’s get likely letters yet?

I’m an URM and applied to ILR. Should I have heard back already if I’m going to get admitted?

@Nimisha99 No, Asians including Southeast Asians are ORM ( Over Represented Minority, just look around). It may work against you NOT for you.

Yeah. That’s what I thought @grtd2010

Just saying though… It seems like all the AAP Arch ED applicants or a very large percent of ED applicants were deferred to RD 'cause I haven’t seen a single acceptance from AAP Arch…Or has anyone?!

@allima highly doubt it…

I’m a URM and I still haven’t received a LL… has anyone received one yet? Maybe they will come out at 5 p.m. eastern

@aidanmc9 I think it’s best not to expect a LL… it’s very rare to get them and I think if you just don’t expect one then you’re either happily surprised with one or just wait till decision day

@aidanmc9 I’m not sure if this will put anything into perspective (considering I am speaking on behalf of another Ivy), but I read that ~300 students in each of Brown’s incoming freshmen classes (or 1/5) receive likely letters. Approximately half of those letters are for student athletes, leaving a VERY small amount of 150 letters to be distributed to it’s remaining accepted students. I’m not entirely sure what Cornell’s stance on LL’s is, but if you don’t get one (such as I), don’t sweat it! Likelys are VERY rare, and, in the case of the people who receive one from Brown, the chance of receiving one can be as small as a 0.3%.

It’s 5 pm EST, did anyone get a LL?

DD is a URM and didnt received an email …

Ok people start posting if you receive likelies now. Good luck everyone !

@gunkers @Lillyfield6 URM and I havent received any too

No worries. Check tomorrow after 5pm.

Do likely letters arrive by mail or email?
