i am an african american female admitted into CALS with an anticipated major in biological engineering!!
@nikki21 - awesome!
@destiny214457 did you get a diversity letter or a WIE letter?
are these mailed or on portal?
Did any Asians get a likely letter?
I GOT A LIKELY LETTER!!! Literally opened the e-mail thinking it was going to be info on Cornell. I even told my sister, “I’d get excited, but I know I’m not getting a likely letter.” And then I read the “because you will be admitted to Cornell University’s Class of 2021” and my sister and I shrieked for like 5 min. I’m so happy! Anyway, stats.
Major: Health, Human Biology, and Society (School: Human Ecology)
Race: Hispanic
Gender: Female
If I had to guess, I’d bet my essay was behind the likely letter. I thought it was really strong, and my stats aren’t that good (for a Cornell likely letter).
My daughter received the email today even though she had already been accepted. She is in ILR.
@allima Yes, it looks like Human Ecology does do likely letters because I got one and that’s the college I applied to.
do all likelies come out at the same time
I got a likely for women in engineering!!!
anyone with a likely from AAP!!! CONGRATS TO ALL ACCEPTED STUDENTS!
@realityhitshard congrats ! URM/Race ?
Have any asians/south asians received any likelies yet?
@EmpirestateDad I’m Asian, so not URM, but my letter is for women in engineering
I CANT BELIEVE IM SAYING THIS BUT I GOT A LIKELY LETTER IM CRYING
JUST GOT A WOMEN IN ENGINEERING LIKELY LETTER. Screw Washington university and their wait-list I’m going to Cornell!!!
do they all come out at the same time? will some come out tomorrow? does not getting one mean you’re rejected?
@allima I’m wondering those things too!! I was really hoping for a likely.
@batepapo same!! Literally a minute after I checked my Wash U decision, I got an email from Cornell!!
this might be a silly question but how soon would the acceptance letter in the mail come if I received a likely letter? Do likely letters mean I got in?
@ryannk hahaha Ithica is way cooler than Missouri.
