Someone asked if (s)he should expect a rejection from Cornell after receiving a rejection from UCLA. I believe it’s just Tuft’s syndrome.

A little psa I just figured out I got accepted I can give credentials if someone asks but I got a likely letter saying I’m going to be accepted into the class of 2021. The weird thing is they sent me the email like a week ago and I had no idea. Northwestern sent decisions yesterday and I was looking for the email and I thought to check in promotions. I found the northwestern email (got in), and while just scrolling through the promotions folder I found the likely letter. So I said all that to say check your spam folders check your promotions folders you never know what could pop in there
I actually got rejected from UCLA and I got into Cornell. You never know tbh. Like when I got that decision letter I pretty much beat myself up a lot. But then I got into Cornell and I realized that its all so dependant upon so many factors that I can’t really measure my worth bc of one rejection. Point is, best of luck everyone!
@Iggy280 do you know if everyone who receives likely letters also gets an email with the letter bc I got the letter but no email?

Yes, was very surprised! Almost didn’t apply because my app was not great. I’m not URM either. My SAT subject scores sucked too!
Guys, how have some people got decisions from CALS? Are they just likely letters?
Weird! Got an email likely letter for WEI… white girl:) and then yesterday in the mail, I opened a letter from Cornell stated I Am accepted…no where saying “likely”.
Did anyone receive a likely/acceptance letter in the mail without receiving an email?
@Travisafb If you don’t mind me asking, what are your extracurriculars? Just curious because I’m in a relatively similar situation as you.
Full AFROTC scholarship probably helped
