Now that the application deadlines have passed is time to just sit back and reflect on all the hard work we put on our applications and wait for the results.
Agreed. That’s all we can do at this point.
Good luck guys, I know its been hard to work on our apps with this unfortunate situation going on, but I hope Cornell sees our hard work and we all have something to celebrate about as the next weeks go on.
the first wave is next Tuesday, i think.
I believe @DrewGonz19 had mentioned that the first wave will be the 21st
yea the first wave is around that time. I believe the third Tuesday of the month.
Btw are AP scores mandatory? Do we need to submit them? On common app I didn’t even report them because I thought you send AP scores after you are matriculated into a university.
I think it depends on the school you are applying to. I know CALS doesn’t require them
I’m hoping to not hear anything until 5/5 or 5/12. My application was recently submitted. I am also a CAS non-TO applicant so the later I hear is kinda better
@covid19sux I think they look at AP credits after you get in
what does TO mean? And could someone please mention what the pin trick is?
@anonymous1423 TO= Transfer Option.
Idk how to explain the Pin trick
This is what was previously posted in the thread:
"So what is this “pin trick?”
If you go to the link (https://decision.applyyourself.com/fl_login.aspx?id=cornellu), on the webpage you will see a “Forgot your PIN or password?” link. Click on it and enter your email. If you enter email and click submit, you may or may not receive an EMAIL (to your gmail account or whatever) with your PIN and password reset instructions.
→ If you receive this password reset email, it only means your decision has been made (does not determine acceptance/rejection)
→ If you do not receive this password reset email, it means your decision current has not been made yet (again no proof of acceptance/rejection)
I had assumed they release all the decisions at the same time, but neat to hear they roll them out in waves. Thank you for the insight!
Does anyone know what the waves are based on (random, when we submitted, etc.)
@ingsquid it depends on when you applied but most TOs and GTs get their decisions the first week of when they come out.
I’m really confused by these terms (TO, GT, etc); what exactly does transfer option mean, can somebody please explain?
Thank you! @CALSgirl2020
does anyone know if ACT/SAT scores are supposed to show up on our application checklist? I submitted mine but I don’t see them on the checklist lol.
@anonymous1423 TO/GT are for people who applied to Cornell in high school and were given the option.
@childishlandino I don’t think so, I know for CAS and ILR it will not show up on the portal because is optional, but if you submit it don’t worry the people reviewing your application will see it.
@childishlandino SAT/ACT scores are not required for most majors and programs for transfers so thats why there not on the portal. If you submitted them they’ll have them available.
