You look like u can get into all of them. You have a very high SAT score and some great ECs.
Chance me? (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1162189-chance-me-ivys-will-chance-back.html)

Thanks guys, I will apply to nyu if I don’t get in to UVa, Cornell, or UM early.

Chanced back

Great focus in your ECs, but a slightly less than excellent GPA. I see that you took hard classes but remember that there will be equally qualified people who took the same classes and aced them all. Just write wonderful essays and really show how YOU stand out. Good luck!

Chance me back here!

Thanks, chanced back

you sound good for all of your options, that being said, I don’t think you are a shoe-in at any of your choices, unless you live in michigan?, then that would be almost a safety for you. (I live in Michigan and the amount of kids who get in that have 28 ACTs, 3.8 gpas(at regular high schools) and average EC’s is actually quite high) Your gpa is low, but based on your high school description, I’m assuming not a lot of kids get 3.9+. chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1162465-chance-please-i-will-chance-back.html

Thanks, chanced back.

Anyone else?

B…u…m…p

Triple bump

ECs are good. What I see is a clear focus and a good leadership in your passions. gpa is probably a little low, but class rank is ok which is a better indicator as gpa is non-standard. I’m sure the top decile is pretty strong at your school. gpa will hurt your chances, but for cornell ed, you have a decent shot b/c of the test scores, leadership, and unique accomplishments (setting up a charity). You’re fine for UVA and UMich, but Georgetown and Emory would be on the tougher side b/c of gpa. But, if you highlight your passion/accomplishments through your essay, I don’t see why you don’t have a good shot.

That’s pretty cool that you made a charity. I like charities they’re pretty cool.

@dblazer: thanks! I looked at my school’s naviance and for the past 4 years no one has not been accepted to GTown from around my score circle…so I think it’s more down to ECs and essays. I think that also gives a good sense of how competitive the school is as well. Anyway, Thanks for the input, chanced back!
@practical: I like charities too! We have something in common! Do you also enjoy eating, breathing, and sleeping??!?!?

I meant my school not “the school” in the post above

Please chance me, I have been very good about chancing everyone back!
