I donāt think so. At this point Iām hoping for a transfer option from CALS, which is still possible for all of us. Also CALS accepts by major, meaning that they waitlist by major, so one personās acceptance off the waitlist in CALS should be independent for another (unless youāre in the same major).
Earlier this spring, you asked us to keep your name on our wait list in case we were able to make any more offers of admission for the 2022 fall semester. We now have a clear picture of the number of students who will be enrolling. While we regret to inform you that we will not have a place to offer you this fall, the College of Human Ecology to which you applied has decided to extend you a Transfer Option to join Cornell after study at another institution.
You will receive more information from the College of Human Ecology and should you have questions, please contact the college to which you applied and have been offered the Transfer Option.

My child heard back yesterday from Human Ecology and the email contained no TO, just an option to apply to transfer at a later date. Iām curious whether you took any steps to demonstrate interest and, if so, what they were. Thank you.

Can you tell us what major? Did you receive one of the emails asking you to confirm your continued interest before you received the admit?

I doubt so because CAS accepts by school, not major. CALS accepts by major

Congratulations. Yes it is slightly different but it still means you are most likely admitted. It seems like they are rolling out email to applicants one by oneā¦ I havenāt heard anyone else say they received this email yesterday.

Thank you!! I got the same email as the others did, basically saying āThank you for waiting, we would like to offer you admission, please respond in 24 hours.ā Basically if I accept I will receive a portal update with the official acceptance (basically the same as regular decision applicants) and from there I can submit the deposit and everything. I hope you get the same email sometime soon, best wishes.
