My daughter just got off the waitlist!!
Nolan School Hotel Management
She got an email Tuesday at 5pm saying Nolan was admitting a small number from WL and asking her to text or call AO to confirm interest.
Phone call at 7pm AO verbally said she was admitted & congrats!
Official letter came today at 3pm!
She was deferred ED and then waitlisted.

did anyone get off the college of human ecology waitlist?

Hearty congratulations to your daughter! Thatā€™s so exciting. I think we are on some of the same threads - assume she is accepting Cornell?

Thank you!! Yes, she deposited to Cornell tonight. She was committed to Wisconsin and genuinely excited about it, but Cornell has been her dream school. We have definitely been on a number of same boards- hope you are getting good news.

My daughter just got an offer from CAS yesterday! She also got a letter over the weekend asking her to show interest and she missed it and sent in her email a day late, but still got in so weā€™re thrilled.

Hoping someone can offer some guidance - I submitted the acceptance of the COE waitlist offer the minute I got it, but never got a confirmation email. I just checked my portal, and see a notification that my application has been withdrawn. I immediately sent an email to the office, but I am now worried that there was some error and my acceptance of the offer was never recieved. Has this happened to anyone else?

Ugh, Hope everything get straightened out. I think your email will help with any confusion.

Submitted my response to the CoE waitlist form too and didnā€™t receive any confirmation email. Just a page with this on it:

Do you have a guidance counselor at your high school that you can also reach out to and explain, so that they may immediately follow up with Cornell Admissions and also try to clarify that you meant to confirm your interest in remaining on the waitlist and in no way meant to have your application withdrawn? You could also try calling the Admissions Office directly this morning, although it does not look as though they have any ā€œin personā€ events planned for today.
This must be stressful, particularly as it is the weekend which makes communication more challenging. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it all gets straightened out!

You were waitlisted and then received the TO?

Hey Guys! So I emailed the SC Johnson School admissions office to ask about the transfer option (Iā€™m a WL applicant at Dyson), and the response I received back contradicts some of the things Iā€™ve seen on this forum and past forumsā€™ (C/O 2025, etc.). I was told that Transfer Option isnā€™t offered to WL applicants and is a completely separate decision.

Hereā€™s a direct quote from the email I received from the admissions office:

  • ā€œPossible decision outcomes are admit, deny, waitlist, or waitlist transfer offer. Applicants receive a single decision, in your case waitlist. A waitlist decision will not change to a waitlist transfer offer decision.ā€

I just wanted to post this here for your information, and I was also a little confused as to why this is the case this year - Iā€™ve seen people in past forums receive transfer option(s) off the waitlist. Please correct me if Iā€™m reading/interpreting this wrongly!

Maybe it differs by school but it seems like in the past people have received a rejection from the waitlist and then the TO a day or so later. Maybe what they are saying is that you wonā€™t get a TO and stay on the waitlist for admission this year?

This year ILR has given TOā€™s to some applicants that were originally on the waitlist.

Each school within Cornell does it its own way through itā€™s own admissions committee.

This is my understanding as well for many of the programs (denial, followed by a TO offer separately but shortly after the denial).
My daughter got her TO in March, and was never put on the waitlist.
