Cornell Waitlist Class of 2024

For whoever was asking about when we’ll hear back (kids who got the email) about the waitlist I’d day maybe a week or two the latest… I reallllyyy hope the email actually indicates high probability of admission rather than them getting my hopes up completely.

Hopefully

@happinessmatters @kidfrommass @papa1977 @benandjerrys101 Are you guys in or out of state? Just wondering

well I knew it’s over for me long time ago

They are not “state schools”. They receive some funding from New York which lowers tuition for New York residents. The 8 Ivy League schools receive billions in tax dollars every year from the federal government, e.g., a total of $41 billion from just 2010 to 2015. Are the 8 Ivy League schools “federal schools”?

@benandjerrys101 - I think the reason for the email was to pick out candidates they want to move forward with but have not submitted a LOCI, or submitted a LOCI and did not stay in touch with the AO. If you have been in touch with the AO, you are in a good position should the waitlist move - email or not.

@mathisfun888 - I submitted only pass/fail info thus far. No grades either.

@dylanddr - thanks for letting us know about no contact with AO since LOCI. I notice that all emails were sent to folks who did not stay in touch with AO. They are probably reevaluating the lists and want to know who is in and who is out. If you did not stay in touch with AO, they would want to know your WL interest closer to May 1, give commit dates for other schools.

Any news on ILR waitlist?

I made in totally clear in my initial application that I would enroll if offered, and then, after being wait listed, submitted LOCIs on April 16 and April 30, but never received an email. )-:

What school?

@LoanRanger I’m in California, and applied to CAS.

I did not call them I emailed a couple of weeks about the CALS waitlist and if they rank.

Yes I’m OOS, as my name (kidfrommass) implies … I’m a kid from Massachusetts.

I also got the “you are at the top of the waitlist email” on April 29. I know there was a wave on April 23 and Cornell accepted 99 kids off the waitlist so far, but does anyone know when the next big wave will be? Thanks & good luck to all y’all

What school are you? I think late next week will be the big movement.

Hey I’m also a kid from Mass!! So yes im out of state

i was the only one placed on the waitlist from my entire city, and the two people from my city that were accepted both committed to yale feelsbadman

Guys if decisions don’t start coming out this week, I don’t think I will be able to take it anymore

I’m from nyc and I applied for CAS!
