Cornell Waitlist Class of 2024

I would check your Spam and advertisements tabs. I found my ‘Waitlist Close’ email in my primary inbox and my ‘Transfer Option’ email in my Junk. If there’s nothing, I wouldn’t bet on a TO and just move on.

@hellhole I just got my TO email. Thanks and good luck to u on ur transfer process next year.

Has anyone received any email from COE?

Soo it seems a little fishy that everyone on this thread got a TO. Doesn’t seem like guaranteed admission to me

Now that u mentioned it @benandjerrys101 yeh it seems like the case. Did anyone not get the TO email? I think it def would put us proirity but yeh not sure its truly guaranteed even tho in past years its pretty much the case. I am going to Berkeley so not sure if i really wanna do it cuz some of the requried courses are not offered to me and i need to work around them so a lot of extra work need to be done.

Transfer admission is guaranteed as long as you meet all the requirements.

It does seem some people did not receive the TO offer after they were notified the end of waitlist.

Do you have a Cornell University citation for the above statement?

Cornell 2019-2020 Common Data Set:
http://irp.dpb.cornell.edu/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/CDS_2019-2020_FINAL.pdf

Total Transfer Applicants = 5,179
Admitted Applicants = 682 (13%)
Enrolled Applicants = 535

Based on facts shared by those who had been there done that.

@oaksinfog Out of the 682 admitted applicants, any data on how many are from the 2019-2020 TO pool?

Emailed Cornell, and they said the transfer options aren’t offered to every waitlist applicant and we mentioned the school I’m currently enrolled at and they said students from my particular school have no difficulty getting into Cornell so… I guess that means I’m guaranteed admission. But…not sure I’ll want to do that.

@ benandjerrys101 - thanks for sharing this update. Would you mind to share which school you received the TO from? If you don’t feel comfortable announcing it on this thread, please feel free to message me. Thanks.

@kwy168 I received the Sophomore TO from Cornell, but I think you meant to ask which school I’m enrolled in as a freshman this year? I’m currently enrolled at the University of Michigan (AA).

I’m dumb. You meant the school within Cornell. I received the TO from CAS

Thank you so much my friend. Best of luck at UM. Let’s see if we cross path at Cornell next year :slight_smile:

has any heard of anything from engineering ?

check ur spam/trash @gocollege2320 But honestly, at this point dont expect much

@Qwerty02131
Congrats to getting into Dyson! My D applied ED this year and was deferred & so now patiently waiting to hear final decision April6! I can only imagine how excited you were to get in.
I am wondering what your experience been like thus far & anything you might want to share about Dyson.

What does TO mean? im also waitlisted from SHA

@ Lastrada1
TO is a transfer option to Cornell as a rising sophomore. You have to do your first year elsewhere, which is not the most convenient path, but it does give you an option to attend Cornell if you meet all of the transfer options.
Good luck!!

@kwy168
My daughter, class of 2025, is in same boat as you are assuming you are TO to Cornell from UM. Would love to hear how things went at UM as my Daughter is determined to go to Cornell but we fear that she may nvr want to leave U Miami after a year of new friends and the warm weather. Feel free to DM if that works for you.
Ty so much
