You can look for the info for AAP through the link.

Yep yep

Because they don’t know yet if those students will come in the fall or not so it’s hard for them to move forward or not w the WL. Even if their other schools don’t give them an extension students still could’ve deposited at their next choice school and not declined Cornell until they received their financial aid. If the cost was too much they could move forward with the school they deposited and decline Cornell and if it was enough they could’ve accepted Cornell and let the school they deposited at know they won’t be coming. Also not all schools but some schools public and private have given extensions. I was given extensions until mid May for some schools so we never really know anyones situation and it’s all just a lot of uncertainty for us and I’m sure the admissions committees

That makes sense. It’s good that you got extra time to make your decision.

Yes! It’s still extremely stressful having to wait (I am sure most of you can relate to this). Even if I don’t get accepted off the waitlist I am still happy my application and I made it this far and you all should be proud too!

aaaaahh!!! i really really really hope the aap waitlist moves today… :four_leaf_clover::four_leaf_clover::four_leaf_clover:

No school is going to move today I believe, we will probably hear back about the waitlist on or after May 10th

For many, I assume they’ve committed at another school like us on the wait list but will decide on Cornell once their finaid package comes out.

is it normal for a waitlist thread to have this many views

Unusual year!

Anyone knows how big is Cornell’s waitlist this year? I know they said on average 2,500.

I haven’t seen any numbers for this year. 6,750 were offered on the waitlist, and 4,791 took it. Eventually, there were 190 who got off the list. It was one of the higher acceptance rates in the last 7 years.

Is this for last year?

Yes, it’s last year. Sorry for the confusion.

Almost 4%! Hope history repeats!
