Does anyone else get “waitlist correspondence” on their portal for grade reports? I only see one for the LOCI I uploaded. My counselor sent my grades a week ago.
yeah, and i haven’t gotten a waitlist correspondence for any of the interest insinuating emails i’d sent in - odd
I heard two kids got off the waitlist for ILR, does anyone know if anyone has been submitted for the other schools?
I think so far people have gotten off from IRL and SHA
where did you here of people for SHA
my daughter and her roommate know someone who got off for SHA
on reddit
So if nothing comes out today, I assume we won’t hear anything until at least Monday, right?
I know this question isn’t directed at me but if anything were to come out today I don’t think there would be many decisions because many students who were admitted requested extensions bc of late financial aid awards and bc of this year simply being this year. I don’t think very many if any decisions will come out today and that there is a decent chance some will come out next Monday but my bets are on later in the week bc if they’re going to the waitlist they’ll know more on Monday (I know some colleges are already going to the WL but I’m referring to all the colleges) and will have to start reviewing the applications again.
yes I believe so, but I hope we hear some today😭
That’s why I was surprised to hear students already got in
Yeah. In all honesty I don’t know what to think. Each college manages their own WL in their own way. Also each college is going to have different outcomes. Some will have more students decline their offers and some will have less. I didn’t apply to either ILR or SHA and don’t know much about the schools or their WL process so I can’t speak to whether it’s surprising students got off the WL at those colleges or not. What I can say is those students must be super relieved to not have to keep at this waiting game and uncertainty of WL (also I know it’s important to get excited about the school we deposited at but it’s not over until it’s over).
I heard that CAS was reviewing waitlist applications since monday so that’s why I was expecting something soon
Well hopefully they release decisions soon! Good luck!
I also just saw on reddit that someone just received their financial aid and others may still be receiving it later this week and idk if that will continue over the next few weeks so idk what that says about WL if anything.
Why would the delay in financial aid impact students’ decision? Even Cornell gives them more time, their other choice schools won’t, so they have to make a choice on time anyway.
because they need to know if they can afford to go befote committing
CAS historically has much lower yield, so they may more tend to go into the waitlist?
I want to call and see what CAS is up to but I’m scared😭 and yeah but it varies every year
