Cornell Waitlist Class of 2025

anyone CALS? I am waitlisted for the plant science major.

I sent Cornell an email and they said grade updates should be sent to undergradapp@cornell.edu in case anyone else needs the email

I went through Cornell waitlist class of 2024 and it shows that CALS waitlist is moving very late&slow compared with CAS and other college. Not sure whether the case will improve this year.

Can anyone see the checklist. It disappeared on decisions day and it hasn’t been there since. I don’t know if this it’s supposed to be like this or not. I am sure it’s fine I was just wondering.

What should I do if my school doesn’t finalize grades until our last day of school?

Do you have access to your grades? Do you know what your grades will be and you’re just not gonna have like an official transcript until the last day of school? Also on your portal for Cornell can you see your checklist or has it been gone since April 6?

If anyone gets accepted off the waitlist, could you please let us know on this thread?

Hey everyone! I just emailed the admissions office for the College of AAP, and got a response about the waitlist- I suspect the same holds true for most other programs too.
This is what they sent me back:

Hi Hopeless Simp,
Thank you so much for reaching out and for keeping us updated! We hope to have a better idea of if and when we will be going to the waitlist by the end of this week!
Best,

does this mean we’ll be getting waitlist decisions by next week?

I feel like what’s referred to as the “first wave” is most probably gonna be sometime next week ---- fingers crossed its good news for us.

I really hope that waitlist decisions will come out next week but I’m thinking it will more likely be the week of the 10th.

I just submitted my LOCI. Is it late enough now as to affect my chances? Thanks.

I am not quite sure what you’re asking. What do you see on your portal? Can you see your checklist or is it still gone?

I’m asking if it was too late to submit my LOCI, and if sending it at this time would lower my chances of being considered

I am only guessing but I wouldn’t think the timing of your LOCI submission would hurt your chances. I doubt they have even started looking at waitlisted applicants LOCIs yet bc there is still a few days until May 3 and I am sure they are still busy with transfer applications (not that there is any correlation just that they are likely really busy) so I think you are just fine and there is NO need to worry.

oh i would think it’s a little late to send a LOCI. i feel like admissions would start to look at waitlist applicants a little earlier than commitment day. there have been cornell students who got their waitlist decisions the day after decision day
