<p>I got this email from Cornell today. I quote:</p>

We will provide limited transportation, housing, meals, and a rich array of opportunities to attend classes, meet with faculty, and converse with current Cornell students about their experiences.</p>

<p>This special invitation is extended to you because of your strong academic and personal record and because you will be admitted to Cornell University's Class of 2014. If you are interested in joining us or would like more information about Diversity Hosting, visit:

<p>*** is this, ''will be admitted''? Is Cornell playing games with me? Either ADMIT ME ALREADY, or stop leaving your admission decision in limbo like that. I don't know whether I should celebrate or just shrug in confusion.</p>

<p>This is what they call a Likely letter. All of the Ivy’s aren’t allowed to release admission decisions until April 1st and so the only way they can keep people from making commitments to other schools too early is by giving them hints that they will be admitted. Here are some other people who have recieved them.</p>
