does anyone know around how many people are waitlisted on average per cluster???
@cupcakequeen99 i think it depends on how many people are accepted into the cluster. instinctively i would say maybe 10-15 kids but for biomed probably around like 35-40?? (i would say yield rates in general are about 50%)

@throwaway123455 @naclyelly they waitlist only 2% of applicants, so i take back my earlier comment about how many there are
as i said it really depends on how many applicants applied
for robotics if it is a really competitive cluster i would think the waitlist is smaller (because that means less chance of people dropping if it is so competitive to get into)
for something like music in tech i would say the waitlist is longer compared to the others bc more are willing to drop
as for out of state kids i think it is a very small chance you will get off the list (cosmos does not prioritize your applications, same as how they do not prioritize freshmen) pretty much if you are a junior on the waitlist for a not-so-competitive cluster, you will have a high chance
i would say don’t stress - if they don’t want you they don’t deserve you!! i’m sure all your summers will be amazing, so as of right now just relax and hope for the best. good luck to you all!
