<p>Daughter received email acceptance for UCSD last week. She attended UCI COSMOS last summer and loved it.</p>
<p>My daughter applied to UCSC and the web site says they will start notifying May 1st. Why so late........</p>
<p>For those of you who got in, do you mind sharing some of your statistics. What grade your in, GPA, etc.....</p>
<p>Daughter was a rising junior last year at UCI, rising senior this year for UCSD. She's in IB so lots of science and math. Although returning students have a lower priority for enrollment I think one of the reasons she was accepted was that her cluster of choice had a computer programming pre-req. She's had lots of programming and likely many applicants have not.</p>
<p>We are still waiting on UCSC. This is the first time she has applied and is going to be a senior next year. She has taken so many AP classes in science, 6 by the end of her junior year and has great grades,3.94 unweighted, but we are so worried that she won't get in. Seems so hard these days. Watching the college acceptance this year, kind of makes you a bit skeptical.</p>

<p>I got into UCSC last year with only a 3.83 weighted GPA, EC counts quite a bit as well, along with what cluster you picked (the biomed one is packed)</p>
<p>I had 256 hours of community service, so that may have helped</p>
