can someone tell me which of these links has the correct fee you need to pay each year?

1st link the overall $59,208 for someone living on campus
2nd link overall is 66881 for someone living on campus?!!!??? i thought the average was 55,000 dollars yearly

also if anyone could provide a link to updated fee information thankss

The links you posted are for two different schools at Columbia. To which school are you applying? (and I would go with the estimate for that school)

Our experience, with a student in the College, who lives on campus, including the cost of flying there from the Midwest, two visits home during the year, and flying back home is about $62,000 plus additional spending money for entertainment. The university estimates vary wildly by your on campus housing choice and assumes the rock bottom choice (which is also used when they determine financial aid).

$43,000 in tuition, student life, and Columbia Health Services
$6,500 - 8,200 for Room and Board (upperclassman)

You’re talking about ~$49,500 - $51,200 without including transportation, books, food, or entertainment.

$6,500 - $7,000 Food if you don’t cook
$3,500 - $4,000 for Food if you do cook
$2,000 for books if you buy from the bookstore
$1,000 for books if you buy cheap

Since there’s not much of a campus life, you’re probably looking at $25 a weekend if you go out fairly frequently to the cheap bars. Probably ~$50 a weekend if you actually take taxis or go anywhere off campus.

I’d say that the $59,000 is on the low end, and that’s if you take a bus home. If you’re not watching every penny, then you’ll most likely spend around $62,000 - $64,000 fairly easily.
