Can someone give me an idea of how much a student could save by living off campus after first year (housing and meals). I realize this will depend on what you’re purchasing, but maybe a range? Thanks!
You can get housing for as low as $600 a month, but most people spend more like $650 or $700. So you’d be saving between $6900-$7800 a year (assuming $200 a month for groceries) though in practice there are a lot of misc costs that end up popping up.
Still, it is substantially less than staying in housing.
