<p>I don't know, but it might just be that the city of Berkeley is terribly expensive. Property cost more to buy and maintain here than it idoes in, say, palo alto.</p>
<p>Washington and Lee has great dorm rooms at about $4000 a year. Why? It is Lexington, VA.</p>
<p>UCLA has expensive housing as well (because it is Westwood).</p>
<p>Georgetown's housing is expensive becaues it is in the city of Georgetown.</p>
