Cost of living near RPI

<p>I'm trying to figure out if we can afford the cost of living if I attend RPI. What would a 4 bedroom house/apartment range from if I lived within 15-20min drive of RPI?</p>

<p>What is the area of troy like, is there many parks and open spaces or is it mainly just buildings, apartments and city life?</p>

<p>ya some people i know decide to live home and attend rpi; it is significantly cheaper. Also, troy isn’t like NYC, but it is a city so you’ll see some buildings.</p>
