<p>I am starting to seriously consider joining a frat, will know more after rush week of course. But I have heard recently that pledging costs a good deal of money? I am kinda trying to live on a budget as I have no loans and am waiting to hear back from scholarships, but at the same time I am really interested in joining.</p>
<p>So does anyone have any idea on average how much it would cost? I am not looking to get a room or food there this year, if that helps.</p>
<p>Around 800 a semester, give or take a little bit from fraternity to fraternity. Some of the top may be more expensive and lower cheaper. I heard PIKE is 300 right now & TKE is the 2nd lowest.</p>
<p>The meal plan is usually also around 800 a semester and that includes 2 meals a day for 5 days. Way cheaper than a normal costs & way better food.</p>
