All freshman applicants for this school are asked to self-report first semester grades. I have received only one C which is in Honors Physics - weighted class. It was extremely borderline, 79.80. I tried everything I could to bring it up to that B but failed and now I can’t stop fretting over it. Could this be a determining factor in my decision? I’m thinking of a possibility where they’re comparing me to another candidate who has similar stats but their lack of C’s senior year would push them ahead of me in the process. It is a naturally stressful waiting period (for decisions to come out) so I apologize if I come across as arrogant or obnoxious.
My GPA is 3.8 W and 3.6 UW and my ACT is 30. Could this one bad grade hinder my chances at UW Madison?
P.S. I posted this in the UW Madison forum a while ago but nobody has replied, so that’s why I’ve resorted to posting here where I’m more likely to receive insight.
