Lol I wouldn’t call UMich a safety. Especially for an international

^^^ I agree. You are a qualified applicant, but UMich is no way a safety for you. Particularly, your GPA is below admission average. Are you applying to CoE? If so, it would be a rather high match.

Holy cow. I agree with the above that Umich is not a safety. However, I would not add that your GPA is below average as your unweighted GPA is quite high (assuming a 4.0 scale) A bigger question should be… which schools would fit you and will you be able to afford them? Have you checked out their respective policies regarding financial aid to international students?

ohp… mistake in research … thank you for the corrections !

But can anyone if im qualified to begin with?

Colleges are crazy sometimes, I would not count on it. For instance, my best friend got into UCLA but did not get into our state flagship’s honors program which imo is alot easier to get into as 20-30 members of our graduating class were accepted. Similarly, it is hard to tell with OOS schools who have high percentages of their own state in their incoming class and accept little OOS. So if you were in state, possibly, but it’s not guaranteed by any means.

bump bump

@shawnspencer FYI. UMich CoE admission average uwGPA is 3.9. For UMich LSA, it is 3.85.
